I skipped back with these.... 
...and these gorgeous Paper Dollies!!! They were originally supposed to accompany the Paper Dolls fabric range last year. The dollies themselves have only just arrived in the country and they are LOVELY!! 
I LOVE the little vintage outfits and vintage ink colours.... love, love, love.... and don't want to hand them over to a scissor-weilding three-year-old. 
I'm thinking of putting the wee girl into paper-dolly training..... perhaps we'll make our own first....? She'll have to have the concept pretty well sorted-out before I let her - and a pair of scissors - anywhere near (colour copies of!!) the clothing for these dolls. Perhaps by her 4th birthday..? Or perhaps I'll just keep them myself (and only play with them after she goes to bed)...?

I would be the same with the paper dolls. Paper doll training, lol!
My grandpa glued mine onto plywood and then jigsawed the shape out and made a stand when I was a little girl. It's a beautiful memory!

Too much cuteness there Nikki, both with the fabric and the paper dolls! No WAY are those going near a preschooler (yet). And with all that fabric, maybe you need a weekend away with crafty women to sew fun stuff...
Forget it. Sometimes it just has to be all about Mum. Alternatively, you could consider the wee one's access to those gorgeous dollies on her 21st birthday.
My great-grandmother had a shoe box full of Betsy McCall paper dolls and all of her clothes and accessories. They were very fragile and I had to be careful not to tear them. Grandma died when I was 15 and even though I got her old Singer sewing machine I wish I'd gotten those dolls! I'd buy your wee one a more durable set of dolls and keep these ones for myself!

It just takes you right back doesn't it......you need to keep one for yourself and buy another for her for when she's older....one each sounds fair!!!
I relly like the colour photocopy idea... and then you can save the real set for yourself!
When my littlies were littlies, I searched online and found some great save and print paper dolls and costumes. I might still have them on the computer somewhere, if you want me to look.

Eldest child still plays with paper dolls, I think it is Klutz that has a fashion design paper craft set - let's see if I can find that online...

You know Nikki, I'm feeling way better now about the vintage lacing cards and gorgeous boy paper dolls that are residing in the back of my cupboard. The boys can have them when they are teenagers!

Love the pink fabric you bought! And the paper dolls! I used to play with those when I was little. I remember you used to buy a booklet with the doll in thicker, stronger paper and a whole wardrobe for her. I have seen some of it in the shops here lately and I must say, I am so tempted to buy it (I don't have any girls, so it will be for me!).
Shhhhhhhhhh! GJs is my local semi-secret fabric haven.... we don't want TOO many people shopping there in case they buy up all the best fabric!
