Flickr Favourites Friday

I've been looking through the photos in our Flickr group pool - marvelling at all the beautiful work done by people using my patterns. It's truly inspiring. Here are just a few from the group...

Beach bag by Marilla in Sweden. (Photo by www.studiolighthouse.com photo/copyright : roger schederin tel 0046 70 515 46 70)

Evening bags - (one of them has been slightly elongated) by Kathy from the USA.

Laptop Bag by Sarah from NSW (Australia).

If you've made a bag (or bags) using my patterns and would like to share how clever you are, you can join our Flickr group (if you have a Flickr account) or simply email your photos to us and we'll upload them through the nmdcustomers account.

I've received some lovely emails this week from people who have wanted to show their appreciation for my patterns and for what they have done to help improve their sewing and bag-making skills. Since this was the original concept behind my range of patterns, it's rewarding to hear that it's working. Thanks guys - your support and appreciation has brought some light into otherwise dark days!

Even though I seem to have lost my bag making mojo of late, I put up (in the Flickr group) the first bag I made in your class, then the other two variations I made for two of my not-so-littlies.

I am BeaTP at Flickr.

Dear Nikki,
although I always make my own patterns for my bags and wallets your blog is a constant source of inspiration for me. (And I don't mean that in the "I'll-copy-her-bags-inspiration"-sense ;-). I'm amazed how generous you are in sharing your knowledge about sewing. My own blog is rather new but I have planned - inspired by you! - a series of little tutorials for beginner sewers. I think that there are a lot of little tricks that seem obvious for professionals but are a real revelation for newbies. In that way I can share a little knowledge from my apprenticeship as a theatre-dressmaker with other people and hopefully help them to get better with their own sewing.
Keep up the good work and don’t let the copycats get the better of you!! :-)
Best wishes from Germany sends
Katja
