I'm a shocker for not checking the mailbox. It requires remembering to take a key down several flights of stairs, and somehow it's often overlooked. I usually don't miss much... a few bills and junk mail.... nothing to inspire me to look in the mailbox.
Today, the mailbox delivered all sorts of goodies (which may have arrived anytime since last Thursday). The gorgeous and talented Annie sent this lovely little mini-quilt to her cat-mad friend (my cat-mad girl). The cat-mad girl wasn't keen when I suggested we hang it up, though... she wants it as a cuddling quilt. She ADORES it!
There were a also exciting documents that arrived today and only one bill.... happy day.
While I was filling you in on all the new patterns and projects yesterday, I forgot to mention that we're also taking bookings for my classes next year, as is Addicted To Fabric in Canberra.
Addicted to fabric have booked me for a few classes early in the year, and you can check in with them for bookings.
Since I'll be writing a book and organising the whole You SEW Girl goes to America adventure, I won't have oodles of teaching time, but I may see if I can squeeze in another class or two in the first few months of the year.
GO on.. you KNOW you want to come in and use my industrial iron.....

I just KNEW when I saw that little cat quilt on Annie's blog that it was for your wee girleen! Hooray! She's a clever woman, our Annie!
Sooo cute BUT SERIOUSLY - what are we all doing still up at this time of night!!!!
yes, but is it a vacuum board?
with a vacuum *sleeve* board!
I miss the vacuum tables at college, and the giganto fusing press.
That cat quilt is beautiful!
Of course it's a CUDDLING quilt! There should be a rule that letterboxes must contain at least one item of delight whenever they are opened.

So glad you got more happy mail than bills!
I booked myself in for a purse frames class in March on Monday night after seeing the re-released Poppet Purse. It is a long way away, but I'm already excited!
My mailbox is only ever full of bills :O( However, this week I've recieved lots of lovely parcels with loads of yumminess in the form of fabric and some key fob supplies, so it's been pretty exciting. I love the kitty quilt and am very jealous of the professional steam iron! ( I have just returned my SECOND Kogan continuous steam iron, this time it DIDN'T steam at all) This is going to be a busy and exciting year for you Nikki!! Can't wait to hear all your adventures :O)
The kitty quilt is gorgeous!!! Such a sweet little gift.
Would love to attend one of your workshops, but I think you'd have to come to Tas first!
