Who'd a thunk I could be anything more than a beret model..? With my height (or lack thereof), nobody would have picked me as a fashion illustration... but here I am....
...poncing about on the cover of my new Draped Dress pattern. I've lined up some pattern testers (thanks to Facebook and Twitter and no thanks whatsoever to Blogger, which wouldn't let me log in for over 24 hours) and I should have a finished pattern by the end of next week. (All going well).

I think I need to learn some of those Photoshop tricks too!!! I have lots of photos of me that could use an airbrush. The dress looks great!

Beautiful painting...love the lines. Awesome dress also!
Ooh yes - I think this dress is gorgeous!
I's love to know how to use photoshop!
The dress is beautiful, so I'd like to put myself in the pot :)
Hugs
I'd love that dress to hide all my bits that I don't want in any painting (or photo for that matter).
:o)
OOOh I'll be in that, I am sure that dress will hide a multitude of sins, scones and lemon butter and cream that I am going to eat at biggest morning on Sunday lol.
Ohhh loving this dress... loving it desperately. I'm sure though that there's no turkey neck going on there! :)
Using my "custard arm" and throwing my name in!
Thanks and loving the strutting

beautifully drapped dress, trowing in my name, photo shop rocks, so does the book, made wristlet and city shopper, so much fun. Vikki
You might not have the height, but you've the enviable figure. Looking gorgeous!
Would love the chance to win the pattern for the dress. Am enjoying your book and although have not yet made a project from it, have implemented the magic 3cm rule in my latest sewing venture (a winter skirt).
Am super excited that you have started doing adults clothes patterns. bring it on!!!!
I'd love to see this pattern, just to get a feel for how it all comes together, I'm working myself up to sewing some of your pattern free tops from the book. Planning a whole new me-made wardrobe this year!
I would love love love a copy of a that pattern, I think it is just gorgeous! I have a beautiful piece of chocolate jersey begging to be turned in that :-)

Love your new dress pattern...
I like the grey bits. I am going to have a go.
Nikki, the dress looks great. I would love to win the pattern. I just love it how you model your own work.
Reminds me of Victoria Beckham's maternity 'frock' at The Wedding.
No need to have a go for the pattern here as I no longer sew. My machine just says hello now and then.
Thank you for your birthday wishes last week (via FB). Your fantastic book did happen to arrive ON my birthday - and with the ribbon and pretty wrapping on it all, it really did feel like a present. {Considering I only got one other one for my whole entire birthday. Except lots of cuddles and sweet birthday cards from the little ones}.
Wanted to let you know that I've planned a sewing day with my sisters / other family people to do some draping and no-pattern making from your book. We are all very excited and can't wait for the kid free day to roll on.
Though of course, would be lovely to win this new pattern as well. Beautiful looking dress - looks like it forgives some curves and allows extra chocolate at bedtime; I do like that!

Nikki, I love how your designs reflect your 'walking to the beat of a different drum'! Divine.
Photoshop is amazing isn't it?
