There has been progress, but I'm still chipping my way through the edits on the text and making mental notes** on which images and diagrams I must prepare for the design team (they're currently working on the layout and I CAN'T WAIT to see the sample pages!!!).
**I know, I know... I should be making lists. I'm just not good at that.
My evening and weekend creativity is all about the Oriental Lily (Big Sister Version). I'm making it as an oversized tunic/pullover rather than a dress - hopefully, it'll get some wear next year, too (if the small and fickle member of the family doesn't decide that she "hates" the colour before then).

Head on over to Kirsty's to see who else is showing off their creative space today.

Can't wait for the book to come out, Nikki!
Nikki - I'm just wondering if you've ever tried felting your knitting?? I've recently discovered some lovely crocheted (or knitted) felted flowers to make that would be great as bag or hat decorations. I plan to try it soon.
I'm excited for you about your book and I don't even know anything about it.
hang in there =) and try to enjoy it - I am sure it will all come out perfect =))!!!
As for little one's colors lovin' =D I KNOW wat ya're talking about (lol)
Ooohhh... how exciting seeing the progress of the book!
Exciting times... Or frustrating, possibly, this book production can drag on a bit, no?
So if the dress is rejected, I'll take it! As long as you make one for the other leg too.
I am sure your book will be wonderful!
Can't wait to see the finished tunic!
Love the colours! Be sure to put up a pic of the finished gem!!
i'm so glad to hear another busy woman isn't good with lists ... it's bad enough to have to do much of the boring stuff without having to make long, boring lists of all the stuff to remind yourself. Uck!
PS that pullover's going to look amazing .. are you using the pink for the contrast?
My Creative Spacecolour. Yum.
Oh yes, I think I have that pattern in my favourites too! I love the yarn you chose. :)
Looking forward to your book and love your blog. I love the pattern too as well as the colors. I just posted a picture on my blog of some self-striping socks I am currently knitting; you are welcome to visit anytime. I am signing up as a follower to your site.
That will make a gorgeous Tunic and I'm hearing you with the 'finished' thoughts too.
