Finished

Oh my lordy. Something is actually COMPLETED.

Yup. A Large Tote. It was the very first bag pattern I ever made for my pattern range and it's the simplest of the lot.

It's not like I NEEDED another bag.....

But it's an achievement for me, because I don't feel like I get to say "finished" very often these days...

"BOGGED DOWN"
"CRISIS MANAGEMENT"
"MULTI-TASKING"

I say those things a lot. Jodie - queen of phrase-coining - summed it up with "I'm totally hamstered".

I look at all the finished things in the studio and take heart that eventually there will be light at the end of this tunnel, too.
In between, a bit of Echino fabric and a simple pattern is a good way to boost creative spirits.

Nikki, i am glad to hear that I am not the only one who sometimes turns to something tried and true -just to have a finish under the belt. Can you imagine how you will feel after the "big finish" !

That Echino fabric would lift my spirits too. You're right, there is nothing like finishing a project to make you feel fantastic!

Oh yes, i think the whole fabric world took delivery of their Echino fabric this past week. I have some up for grabs in a GIVEAWAY, yippee!! Have a great Father's Day, love the colour you have in your life. Love Posie

I love the bag - especially the material. I too am a "bag artist". Once I discovered that they were not as hard as my mind told me they were, I started making them non-stop.

About the dpn's - just remember that it is still just simple knitting - just shorter smaller needles - and it is still just one stitch at the time. As talented as you are I see no reason why you can not pick it up immediately. Plus, they are good portable projects too - these are my "doctor appointment" socks. LOL

At least you have a shop to put all your bags in. I have a shelf. But then a gal can't have too many bags, right?

I am glad I finally have a name for it have been feeling hamstered for a few weeks now and I have been hating it. Sucked the creative life out of me. But I am pegging it back bit by bit and have done some sewing the last few days. Had a massage Thursday and it seems to have slowed the hamster wheel down a little.

So Kewl! Love the fabric and the bag. And I'm so glad someone came up with a word for how I feel! Inspiring Nikki! Thanks

But we all know that a girl can never have too many bags! So I think you picked the right type of 'sewing therapy'.

I have that pattern and am inspired to look through my fabric stash to get to do some sewing.

Totally hamstered? That phrase goes straight to my mental pool room for later reuse!

Gosh, those are great! Do you sell them? If you do, you had better advertise them and get ready for a Christmas rush, and it is only Sept! If you made them for stores you should put an ad on prosewingjobs.com and let the world know about them. Keep up the good work.
