Life In the Slow Lane

I cut this Curved Flat Bag bag out about a month ago...

It's been made in dribs and drabs... slotted in between jobs, moved to several different places around the cutting table while other jobs were started and completed. I finally finished it a week or so ago and have only just managed to post about it!! Some things just move s-l-o-w-l-y... especially when you're multi-tasking a heap of high-priority things.

The inside of the bag has compartment pockets and a large zipper pocket, and it closes with a magnetic snap.

The fabric is deco weight Amy Butler (interfaced with medium-light interfacing and light fusible wadding) and the lining is calico. The handles are a new product for us - I'm yet to put them on the website (They come in black or clear - Codes: 08BLA and 08CLE, $10.50 pair).

I was really pleased with the finished result.

Just beautiful! It's nice to know I am not the only one with ten things going all at once!

This is a simple, yet charming bag design, Nikki. I love the fabric you chose and the organizing compartments on the inside.

It was worth the wait! Love that Amy Butler combo. Some day I'll work up the courage to try a fancy bag, but until then I love coming by to see how it's REALLY done. I just love your work SOOOOOOO much!
