It's days like this that make me glad I'm not running about on a football field, playing a ball game in front of thousands of people.
As the black clouds rolled over Northcote and the rain lashed against the window, I thought about how cosy it was inside.... ...and how much I enjoy retreating to my sewing cave.....
...and how disinterested in football I am .

Was that on today? Wasn't it meant to happen in SEPTEMBER?
Indoor day here too, today.
Totally and absolutely agree - to the slumber like state that rain brings on and the complete indifference (or was that hat?) for football. Bring on the cricket! Cherrie
Haha! I'm totally with you on that one!! boo football, yeah rain + sewing ;)
that about covers it yes!
heatwave down south, up here 15C max and BuildanArk weather.
DH was sitting glued to the box, one kiddo was at a friends watching football the other was home with a friend playing dressups and having a good time and I just stitched all afternoon with one eye on the football when necessary or when DH just made to much noise.
I like this post very much!!
Nothing better than watching a grand final with some sewing in my lap. I'm going to miss the footy.
I went to an aqua aerobics class and it was a group of women not too fussed about the footy who were there!
Sewing sounds like a much better option!
Mmmm yes, I think the hype turns me off more than anything. (I love what a friend said on Facebook - it's the Bogan's day of the year!)
I was SO happy to be dry and warm at work allowing my male collegues to get wet and cold doing what they love best!
Unless I was actually playing the game, I'd rather spend my day sewing too. During my soccer years, I remember playing in snow for some of our play-off games. (Yeah, freezing temps and snow in Oct. Hello, northern Saskatchewan!) I wore gloves and earmuffs during those games. lol
I was tutoring at the Knitters' Guild of NSW camp so missed both the AFL and NRL Grand Finals - what a shame (not)!
