So you want to design handbags...?

This stencil illustration was made by my dearest, dearest friend Super-Duper-Tracy . It expresses that joy and pride I see in other people when they realise just how clever and creative they can be, and how that makes me feel....(...and I love how my teeth look so pearly-white...!)

I love seeing bags or purses in boutiques, online, at markets or on the arms of people in the street, when I know that I helped the creators to learn how to pattern-make or sew. It's nice to have played a small part. It's warm and fuzzy stuff, you know...?Right now, we have a couple of gals who are dead-keen to learn patternmaking for bags, so we've scheduled a class especially for them. There's still space in the class for three more people, if you're at all interested in joining us. DETAILS AND BOOKINGS HERE.

Before anyone asks...I'm afraid this course wouldn't work in a weekend format. You really need a week between classes to digest and practise and experiment with what you've learned. I also don't have time right now to develop it into any other format (online, correspondence etc). I'm afraid that this format - the weeknight class - is all there is for now.

GO on.... make my teeth shine pearly-white... You know you want to....

So I am guessing that I am wasting on my breath asking you to take your classes on a road trip and bring them to Adelaide? :P

Why oh why am I on the other side of the world??? Have you ever considered and e-class? :-)))

I would adore taking this class but alas, I'm in Sydney. I'm still trying to work out how I can come down for the day to do one of your other classes. Hmmmm......

I hope you'll have plenty of people interested (I would probably be if I wasn't in San Francisco rather than in Australia).

In one of your last posts, you talked about the book Designing handbags 101... I'm not sure whether I should put it in my cart or not, as I was about to do several times. Would you say yes or no? (if the answer is longer than that, please don't feel obliged to answer at all :)).

Ha! Finally, one of your classes I don't need to want. Unless I find out there super fabulous special Nikki stuff in it. But there won't be, nooooo nooooo. Just pattern drafting and I can DO THAT!

Heat probe says iron is fine. Credit card bill says Steam Press must wait for a bit.

I think a Skype class would be a great idea. Every time I peruse your blog I think how fun it would be to be able to take a class. I sew a lot and am great at quilts and apparel but have never learned nice techniques for bags. Alas, I am also living half the world away in California.

I, too, would love an online pattern making class because I live on the other side of the world. Really don't think my husband would let me go to Australia for a class! (But wouldn't it be nice)

I accept that you don't have time at the moment to develop the classes in any other format, but I do hope you plan to in the nott too distant future! Unfortunately, 5 weeks in Melbourne is out of my budget. :(

Although I would love to visit, a 5 week trip is out of my budget. I hope you consider doing an e-class in the future. I would love to take this course.

That's it. I'm moving to Australia. I keep missing out on the fun due to the long commute. ;o)
