Hyperventilating with geeky excitement!!!

My sewing buddy, a few of her fashion industry buddies and I are booked in and waiting anxiously for a weekend in late February, when we get to learn from the master of Subtraction-cutting, Julian Roberts. He's teaching a master-class at Beautiful Silks in Fitzroy.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. What this bloke doesn't know about manipulating fabric around a body in all manner of sculptural forms isn't worth knowing.

And I'm going to learn from him.

Eeep!

I would love to do that! I'd never heard of him, not being in the business. Now I've visited the links you gave and ordered his book!! Even had a little play yesterday with some fabric after looking at the pictures. It really triggers off ideas. Pity I live interstate.
Cheers
Anne

Oooh anything that doesn't involve 12 inches of snow looks good to me. If only I didn't have to did the car out of the drive I would be on my way.

OK, I'm green, green, green with envy! Boy, would I love to attend that class!

I was lucky enough to take a 4 day class in Tambour beading this past summer from Prof. Bob Haven at the Univ. of Kentucky. Nothing can be better than learning from an established expert.

Have a fabulous time!
