On the way to work this morning....

I found myself at GJ's Discount Fabrics. In the back room, there was a pile of patchwork fabrics on clearance for $12 and $8 per metre - Moda, Robert Kauffman, Vera Bradley, Michael Miller etc.
If you're in get-down-there-quick-before-all-the-good-stuff-is-gone distance, it might be worth popping in for a spot of stash-building. (Word of warning - I bought the last 3.5 metres of the Moda "Sweet" rose and stripe print).

Have I mentioned before that I live on the wrong (dammit!) side of the river?

I'm not sure that even _I_ can believe that I've never been to this fabric shop!

Thanks god I live far far away!!!
I simply can't afford another fabric buying frenzy (which I'm sure this would become).

It's true, you can never have too much fabric.... never ever!

I'll have to look for this place when next I'm in Melbourne for work. My latest stash is coming from Quilt Home.com

Come on over and leave a story about your stash, if you have time!! Would love to hear from you.

I wish I lived in Melbourne still :(

Looks like you got some more of the beautiful Timeless Treasures fabric I was searching for long ago!

The concept of stopping into a fabric store sale on the way to work is foreign to me...I'd never get to work!

I like all of them except the bottom one, but I looove the blue and brown. You had some blue and brown flowers before. I got outrageously excited when I found the same fabric in my local shop (and on sale at £5/m!) but of course there was no-one handy to understand what "Nikki's got that one, she used it on the cover of one of her patterns!!" meant.

If it's not on sale how much do you buy at a time? Is the concept of the fat quarter completely lost on you?!

Cheers,
AJ

GJ's is a very evil place which must be avoided at all costs! Only joking! I love the girls in there and their fabrics are very very yummy, even the discounted ones!

Rathdowne Remnants, just up the street and around the corner, from GJ's is currently having 25% off its remants. Some bargains to be had rummaging around the remnant bins! Got some lovely pieces of vintage cotton and black denim. Plan to do some bag making over the school holidays.

Good score!
I would pop round such a sale if I lived closer. Nothing can get me to part with $ faster than a fabric sale. ;o)
