Wild weekend

From my studio on the third storey in Brunswick, yesterday's storm looked ominous as it approached the city and swept over us. The sky was almost purple. I didn't take any photos but I've been scrolling through the photos in The Age today. Wowee. Glad I wasn't outside!

I'm happy to say there was no damage here except for a lump on the man of the house's head. He was hit by a hailstone as he ran between the back door and his studio (a few feet from the back door).

More bad weather predicted for this afternoon has meant that I've cancelled plans to drive to the country to see my parents. Looks like it'll be a wild weekend... spent at home.

Missed hail storm here in Blairgowrie, just copped thunder and alot of needed rain. Just wondering Nikki if you're going to do your A-line skirt pattern, just viewed Thornberry's?

I've just seen on TV! The Mother Nature is very strange all over the world!
Hope everything is well with Aussie virtual friends!

I drove through it on my way to Thornbury yesterday. It was a bit like taking my life into my own hands trying to get through all of the broken traffic lights and flooded roads!

Glad to see that no one was hurt and nothing was damaged in your storms yesterday. So glad we only had rain! and then some more rain, oh and then lots more rain! I am so over rain... love from Queensland, land of the flooded plains!!

Definitely a weekend to stay indoors. I headed home from Point Lonsdale this afternoon before any more bad weather. Figure I'll spend most of the day indoors tomorrow with more rain forecast.
Enforced home time is not all bad. No excuses now... might have to tidy up or do some sewing.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the news! Glad you've all okay though (except for the bump!)

We went away for the weekend and saw it on the news. I was paranoid that our house had been flooded or that we'd accidentally left a window open.

Fortunately everything was fine when we got home this afternoon. Crazy weather though!

Wasn't it terrible! We were expecting friends from Malvern here on Saturday evening and they got stuck in the flooded King's Way. It took them more than an hour to get back home. They were only 20 hours late getting here!!! Good job it was a long weekend.
