Some things take longer than they ought...

You'd think a tutorial for a little thing like this would be written up and ready in NO TIME, wouldn't you...?

Well... I've had computer dramas, camera problems, distractions and neurotic perfectionism working against me this week - and lots of teaching, which wiped out my brain-power for instructional writing after hours. (Somehow I could still read/write blogs...?).
I wasn't happy with the first two work flows and photo series I did, so re-made the purse a couple of times - tweaking and improving, photographing, Photoshopping....

Finally the files are ready to be sent off to Living Creatively.... a week later than planned. Living Creatively will no doubt do a fabulous overhaul of the layout and make it look beautiful. They make everything look beautiful!

Tomorrow my little gal and I are off to browse the Shirt and Skirt Market in Abbotsford, and will probably pop into the Collingwood Children's Farm while we're in the neighbourhood. Fingers and toes crossed, it won't rain. We could use a nice day off.

I'm really looking forward to having a go at making a few of these Nikki! And I know that they look fantastic in reality as well. Thanks again for all your help today - I have been busy looking at fabric combinations and sketching possibilities. Hopefully tomorrow I'll sew, girl!

Hope you're enjoying the blogging thing. And I have to say, I just love that pink fabric that you've used. It's so vibrant and uplifting!

It's annoying when things take you twice as long as you expect. That always happens to me but that's because I estimate everything will take 10 minutes.

Hope you enjoyed the farm.

Hi Nikki! Thanks for coming by. Yep, looks like we made the same pouch! Mine is lined and batted, and also quilted. A quilting friend and I used to make these years ago - she used to call them sunnyboy bags because it reminded her of the iceblock!

I'd forgotten what fun they were to make - I'm going to make some bigger ones and stock my Etsy store with them, as knitting and crochet project and notions bags.

Hi Nikki, how nice to see you're blogging too. Love the purse you made, that pink is wonderful.
And comments are always nice, also when you're blogging a bit longer already.

I love this Tutorial. I will keep an eye out for it. I laughed my head off about the Shirt and Skirt Market. What is it about a rock? I would like the felt flower better!
