...the champagne swilling shindig for Sew it Together... (must stop calling it that and start calling it a soiree or something)
...thoughts about what I can possibly take to Sewjourn that will help me meet my book deadline... (without taking my computer?)
...sick parents and a new baby niece and a 4-year-old who continues to love and need me (despite my apparent loss of parenting skills) and a man I occasionally meet in the kitchen to discuss the local primary schools we should have sussed by now to have said-4-year-old enrolled for next year and oh-my-goodness I forgot to pay the car registration and the kindergarten fees and I haven't seen the inside of a supermarket for weeks.....
When this is all over ("this" meaning "the month of May"... and the holiday) I have plans for some fresh new patterns. What would you like to see in my pattern range...?
Can't wait to Sewjourn!!!
ReplyDeleteIs it too late to RSVP to the champagne swilling shindig? I meant to the other night, but got side-tracked...I'm happy to be your waitress or something, seeing as i've stopped the champagne swilling for now :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not even answering that pattern range question. Talk to me after you have proof (ie sock tan marks or whatnot) of a holiday.
ReplyDeleteOk, so shoot me if I'm wrong but am typing desperately tired here.... glasses case, dual pocket pencil case (ie pencil case with zipper pocket on outside that goes all the way across front), cooler lunch holder thingy, dog treat holder that goes around waist thingy... am going to stop now. Brain losing grammatical function!
ReplyDeleteI mean shoot me if any of these are already on your list of achievements!!
ReplyDeleteLove that hat!
ReplyDeleteOnly thing I want to see is you with your eyes uncrossed.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
AJ
Hi from Darwin! Good luck with the show! Look forward to meeting you at the 'soiree' in a few weeks!! Very excited xox
ReplyDeleteBah, she'll be right love! Have a great time at the soiree!
ReplyDeleteJust to mull over - I'd love a camera bag! Have just swapped from a point and shoot to an SLR, and there are lots of plain black bags out there, or nicer options for those with lots of equipment, but not so much for someone who just wants a cute bag with padding to keep the camera and maybe an extra lens safe, along with keys and phone. Am mulling over making some sort of Day Bag hybrid, but would love a purpose-designed pattern!
ReplyDeletea rest ..... seriously woman...a BIG holiday !
ReplyDeletePlease please please - I have said it before will say it again. I need an A line or wrap skirt, using your patterns for a curvy 30 something girl but I will wait till you take a break
ReplyDeleteDon't even give the laundry or dusting another thought - take it from me it will wait until you have the time and energy. How about you just take some bath oils and a good book to Sewjourn and take some time out???
ReplyDeletei think an overnight bag would be cool... like the boys sports bags, but in a girly stylish fashion... :)
ReplyDeleteA purse/wallet. Something that can contain everything securely and not one of those small ones. Zippered section for coins, a good amount of card holders and a secured space for notes.

Nikki, I agree with everyone about the holiday! But, if you plan on doing more childrens things, like the tulip dress, I reckon you should do them bigger than size 8. Annie is 7 and I am running out of cool indie patterns that fit her- just saying, don't know if you want to do more clothes or not.
