I had to walk to the bus stop...
..and for some reason was inspired to take action shots as I did it. Suddenly I'm Watcha Wearing Wednesdaying....
I made the top and leggings and bought the middle two layers on the sale rail of a boutique in Lancefield on the weekend (while I waited for my car to be repaired.... which is another story altogether). I made the Sling bag I'm carrying - it used to be the covergirl on the pattern packet.

All up I reckon I'm dressed for under $60.... which is less than the original pricetag on the frilly black middle layer.
...
Am I just trying to shine a light on everything but the inevitable truth about how silly I felt about the keys...?
What a funky outfit!
ReplyDeleteSam + I went out one day together, and each thought the other had a set of keys. Nope. Sam had to climb up a ladder and in the teeny little bathroom window. Actually, bit scary how easy we'd made it to break into our house.... hmmm. (no more ladders lying around or windows left ajar).
I hope you had a good bus ride instead.
Oh!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood pictures!!!
Nikki, you crack me up! I tried to leave a comment on your Mumsy post last night, but kept getting locked out. I think you did a week's work there, and I thought BTW you were a Great Mum! LOVED the outfit today and could relate to the keys - you SEW girl!
ReplyDeleteSew fanatastic! Does't it just make you giddy to realize you look so fab (you sew girl!) and no one would guess for so little $.
ReplyDeleteIf it would make you feel less silly, I could tell you our key story. It involves my husband parking our truck as close as possible to "Edith" so he could actually reach the one unsecured window, crawl in, and then unlock the front door. Did I mention it was 5am and we had just arrived in a new city after an eventful all night drive, with our all our household possessions in a moving truck? We came to discover that the house keys had mistakenly been packed in one of the many boxes. Next move, I'm in charge of the house keys. ;o)
Love the outfit! Did you ever get your keys?
ReplyDeleteWow, you're really not having a great week!
ReplyDeleteI found the keys when I got home... in the BATHROOM!
ReplyDeleteWho cares about lost keys when you look so (or should that be sew?) good? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed there was no "so then I sat on the front step and cried..." !! A sign that life is good (or you have fantastic coping skills!
ReplyDeleteooops...what a pain in the butt at the time - but it makes for a great blog post Nikki.
