Scarlet Starlet

Just before I jumped on that train to Sydney, I finished off this little Mod.
The fabric is an upholstery weight suede-look microfibre, which was 40% off its original $20 per metre price-tag in a recent Rathdowne Remnants sale (and it took much less than a metre). Fashion for less, I tell ya!

I used 52mm squared edge o-rings on the two shoulder straps and a 38mm ring as a weight on the flap. The long ring-pull zips are still coming in handy - a perfect match!

Inside the flap is a bit of Patty Young dazzle.

...and the lining is more of the same, with zipped and compartment pockets.

She was a bit of a hit in Sydney - I could have sold her a thousand times. She'll probably be strutting her stuff at the Melbourne Quilt and Craft show in a few weeks.

EDITED TO ADD: Yes, I do have the pattern for sale. The links are highlighted in pink and will take you to all the relevant pages in the shop. Failing that, CLICK HERE.

  1. Put a chain on it at the next show! So there is no repeat of that unfortunate incident.

  3. upholstery weight suede look microfibre...so basically polyester? Which needs low temps for iron - so how did you fuse it with stuff?

Looks poifect. Well it would. It's yours!

I LOVE to read your comments and they brighten my day. I can't respond unless your profile has an email address attached, though... And some days I simply don't have time to respond.... but I respond in a telepathic sort of way to each and every comment.
