My Creative Space

It's all up-close-and-personal here. Delving into the minutae of making a well-finished bag and turning it into step-by-step instructions.

Trying to put the "HOW TO DO" (rather than "WHAT TO DO") into plain English. Plain and succinct English. (Tough gig for a chatterbox like me).
Hoping I'll get this new bag pattern finished soon.

(I'm also wondering what a thief would think, if ever they stole my camera..... ?)

..
Head on over to the hostess with the mostest to see what everyone else is up to this week.

  5. If a thief stole your camera they may very well be inspired to steal themself a sewing machine... then abandon their thieving ways in preference for sewing! ;)

You could very well be doing some community service.

  7. That looks good so far with the step by step pics, such good snipping around that bend- one of those things I didn't learn for a while with softie making and when I did it all made sense.

  11. Oh I definately worry what a thief would think if they got my camera. We were at a wedding recently and people were asking to see photos of my kids... None on the camera.. plenty of the dog, various stages of jewellery making, half finished projects galore but no people. Ooops

  13. I get where you are coming from, but "succint" and "instructions" aren't always the best combination.

Picture the face of the beginner dressmaker who reads...

    Step 5. Attach sleeves.

    Yes, that's helpful.

So something between that and a 5 page novel... now wasn't that useful advice!?

    Cheers,
    AJ

  15. Your sewing is so neat. I am having a really difficult time with my bag making this week. My sewing machine seems to be having issues going through certain thickensses. My stitches don't seem neat. Any tips?

I LOVE to read your comments and they brighten my day. I can't respond unless your profile has an email address attached, though... And some days I simply don't have time to respond.... but I respond in a telepathic sort of way to each and every comment.
