Oh, what the heck - I really like buying new fabric.
Surely there are worse habits....and more expensive hobbies...?
...and anyway, these were on sale.
And Quilt Home kindly notify me every time they have a "today only" sale on a particular designers fabrics. Nice of them, huh? I couldn't NOT follow up those useful links that they send to me...now could I?
And it means I get to spend a small fortune on gorgeous prints MOST weeks..... Which has to be good for the soul...does it not?
Please meet the Erin McMorris gang (above) and the Tina Givens ....ummm...extended family and ..ahem...associated friends (below).
...and it's not as if it goes off or gets wasted, is it....?
I see Liesl's been justifying fabric purchases, too.
All of them so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you are planning to do with them!
Wow. You really know how to shop for fabric. (Can't say much else, jaw still on floor).
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous! Coin collectors don't spend their money - nobody says we have to USE our stash! More than 3 pieces, it's a collection!!
ReplyDeleteI like the Erin McMorris. I also like those daisies on that lovely green background. Lucky for you, your job REQUIRES you to have lots of lovely fabric.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful addiction - I have it too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about the cheap part but it sure does make you smile. With the tremendous variety out there you sure need to keep up too. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteAll hail the Queen of Fabric Shopping! What gorgeous prints you have selected.
ReplyDeleteIt seems rude not to mosey on over to Quilt Home and take a wee look ....
Those are all so beautiful! Fabric is a dangerous addicition. I justified buying more just this morning.
ReplyDeleteJennifer :)
I have the SAME problem. I feel guilty if I don't sew enough things quick enough to justify buying more new fabric, but I just love it! You can never have too many different colors and patterns!
ReplyDeleteThat's some great shopping for faric. I can tell you're good at it. And how beautiful are those fabrics!
ReplyDeleteFabric sales are definitely a weakness of mine, even more so that most of them have their halloween fabrics marked down ... I really should cut up my card. You have some lovely prints in there, can't wait to see what they become.
ReplyDeletehehehe... the phrase "preaching to the choir" just came to mind :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous prints! You know I'm going to have to go over and have a look now don't you :)
with gorgeous prints like those, don't need to justify buying them :)
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly Nikki!!! I love the new additions you have collected!
ReplyDeleteI think it has to be up there on the list of expensive hobbies, but you're right, there are definitely much worse habits.
ReplyDeleteI was happy just looking at it so you're just spreading joy , thanks so much !
ReplyDeleteThere are many more expensive hobbies, and why put a price on happiness anyway? New fabric makes me EXTREMELY happy! I do tend to display new purchases for a while and just touch and stare before I use it, but it does get used. I have been very good lately and have actually used my existing stash rather than buying lots of new fabric. But if I am in the shop and see nice fabric, I have to buy it immediately. Tomorow it will be gone, so you MUST buy today!

ReplyDeleteOh they are fantastic - and i love that site too. did you have to pay customs charges to have it delivered here?
ReplyDeleteoh Nikki... I really MUST stop reading your blog!!! Another wonderful hour spent drooling over fabrics!!! Quilt home has some wonderful fabrics. [but then you know that...LOL]
ReplyDeleteMy new mantra...
I must not click on BUY NOW...
I must not click on BUY NOW...
I must not click on BUY NOW...
Do you think it will work? I doubt it!!
Ciao...keep 'cool'....
LOL, I love your on going excuses followed by a pic of your new purchases , too funny. The fabrics are lovely. And yeah, you could have a worse obession, like chocolate - bad chocolate, it spoils. Fabric is perfect it never spoils nor puts weight on your thighs.
