Everyone should do it...

Leave your family/pets to fend for themselves. Leave the housework and any other responsibilities behind and have a sewing weekend with a gang of great sewing gals. Eat lots of chocolate. Drink and sew and laugh. Sing and dance and scream with laughter again and sew a bit more and stay up too late and make lots of mess and talk a lot and sew a bit more and laugh and be inspired and sew and laugh and sew and laugh....

It's good for the soul.
It's also astounding how much sewing you'll get done.
Thanks to Annie, Lara, Jodie, Kathryn, Rachel, Emma and Megan for letting me jump on your getaway bandwagon and for being such fabulous company.

  9. Don't worry, I could have got it off anyone, at any time. It just means I have to slow down and rest, which I don't like doing much!

Next time you plan a jaunt like this I will be happy to act as your chauffeur ... any time, any place!
Had a weekend like that a decade ago with my quilting friends...it is such a pity that we have lost touch...life and family clashed there for a while!
I'm looking forward to doing a hat course with you so you'll be hearing from me soon.

  13. I put a total moratorium on school work this weekend (three day weekend here in the US) and totally devoted myself to crafting and sewing. It's been great. It is so nice to be able to focus on stuff that makes me happy for a while.

I LOVE to read your comments and they brighten my day. I can't respond unless your profile has an email address attached, though... And some days I simply don't have time to respond.... but I respond in a telepathic sort of way to each and every comment.
