Leave your family/pets to fend for themselves. Leave the housework and any other responsibilities behind and have a sewing weekend with a gang of great sewing gals. Eat lots of chocolate. Drink and sew and laugh. Sing and dance and scream with laughter again and sew a bit more and stay up too late and make lots of mess and talk a lot and sew a bit more and laugh and be inspired and sew and laugh and sew and laugh....
I'm really pleased you and the car made it home safely Nikki.....and that you feel recharged!
ReplyDeleteI just loved hearing your laugh Nikki, and you're right, there was a hell of a lot of sewing done!!! I've just covered my sewing room floor up with quilts and pieces. Can't wait to get home from school tonight and sew a bit more.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time you had for sure-glad you got lots of sewing done too! They say that laughter keeps you young you know!
ReplyDeleteWish I had sewing pals!
ReplyDeleteOh, you were fabulous company Nikki and the amount of tips and tricks you shared with us all was fantastic. We will all be heading out to buy some stretchy fabric for craft on Wed. week!! Glad you made it home safely.
ReplyDeleteIt looks too perfect Nikki. That picture of the table with all those sewing treats made me go.. ahhhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that looks like fun! Can't wait till I can go, even though I am sick at the moment and can sew all I want, I think it's the company that helps!
ReplyDeleteI used to have sewing buddies, but they all moved away. I miss my sewing buddies very much.
ReplyDeleteNikki, I was looking at the photos this morning and I laughed all over again. It was just the most excellent fun with such great people. You are one generous woman and I cannot wait till we get together again.

Don't worry, I could have got it off anyone, at any time. It just means I have to slow down and rest, which I don't like doing much!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the best dose of soul food.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous time!! So glad you enjoyed yourself.
ReplyDeleteCould a picked me up on the way, ya know... :)

ReplyDeleteNext time you plan a jaunt like this I will be happy to act as your chauffeur ... any time, any place!
Had a weekend like that a decade ago with my quilting friends...it is such a pity that we have lost touch...life and family clashed there for a while!
I'm looking forward to doing a hat course with you so you'll be hearing from me soon.
Roma ♥
I put a total moratorium on school work this weekend (three day weekend here in the US) and totally devoted myself to crafting and sewing. It's been great. It is so nice to be able to focus on stuff that makes me happy for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe best fun ever! Nothing beats getting together with a bunch of girls and just having fun without any responsibilities waiting in the kitchen....Hope you will share more pics and show us what you made.
ReplyDeleteBig green eyed monster is out and about over here. Sounds like a blast. I'm going for sure!
