Been sewing.....

It's quite theraputic....rewarding.... I should do more of it....

It has a flap and a belt tie detail on the bag, and I made a tie on the back as well.

The lining was kept quite simple, with a zippered pocket and a compartment pocket. The bag closes with a magnetic snap. And I finally found the perfect zip for the leather and wool Large Slouch. In fact, I had to buy a box of assorted zips to find this one, so we now have a few of these lovely "ring-pull" numbers in our LONG ZIP bundles..... I'm quite fond of it.... and must remember that it is a display model (not to be used and trashed by me).
A also made another Draped T-Dress....
This time, in HALF-scale.... (Yes, that's a pen near the base of the stand).

And.... just because it amused me....I made a half-scale Mod bag.

Hopefully there'll be a few more new samples to pack in my luggage to Sydney next week....

Love the half scale. I do not want to think about the corners in that tiny bag, but it's gorgeous.

  9. love the bags I would be tempted to keep them for myself too, you will just have to make another one of the leather numbers for yourself to use and trash when you have a minute that is sound like it is go go go.

  10. I suspect that the leather one might sneak its way from the display stand into your personal clutches - it is very YOU Nikki, and maybe you deserve a little treat for yourself! The half scale dress already looked so cute and then when you went and made a tiny bag to go with it? Just perfect! Love all of this Nikki.

  11. Loving your new bags, Nikki! What incredible restraint you have to keep them as displays only. Looks like you'll have lots of wonderful items to take to Sydney.

  12. Oh those half-scale items are so cute! Be careful or you'll have people swamping you for kid-sized handbag patterns.

Maybe you could make the new leather bag again in half-scale and keep the full-size one for yourself?

  17. Oh, you really are spoiling my Deidre Nikki, she won't want to come back to live with me. I guess her slightly thinner sister might steal that outfit before she does anyway!!

  23. I mean no insult to you when I say that for a moment I thought you had made an Essendon footy jumper when I saw that half scale outfit. So funny. My Essendon loving son would love it. In a larger size. If he was a girl.

I LOVE to read your comments and they brighten my day. I can't respond unless your profile has an email address attached, though... And some days I simply don't have time to respond.... but I respond in a telepathic sort of way to each and every comment.
