It's lovely. I'm glad.
Had I asked the store to send it to me, it would have cost me about US$54 in postage and taken three or so weeks. I thought better of it and had it sent to my sister's house in Oregon, knowing she was coming to Australia within two weeks and thinking of how much I'd save on postage.
So it arrived at her house in Oregon a few days after she arrived in Melbourne..... She posted it to me when she was back in the US. It cost US$56 (on top of the $13.50 I paid to have it sent to her house) and took 7 weeks (from the date of my order) to get here.I'm thinking no more about it and calling it a learning experience.
While I was waiting for the postie to bring my yarn, I put in a little order with Quilt Home. This lovely bundle arrived and each piece was immediately earmarked for particular garments for (and by) the smallest designer in the studio.
I don't have time to sew clothes for her right now because I'm too busy knitting things for her. The wee girl will have to learn a thing or two about patience.
But she wants it NOW!

I got a chuckle reading your post until I got to the part where the yarn arrived at her house AFTER she was at your house. That was a stinker! Hope you are enjoying the yarn though. I use it to make dishcloths and spa cloths and love the way it feels for both. Post a pic of what you use yours for.

ReplyDeleteI live in Canada and it take more time to get something from US than Japan or malysia... And the shipping cost is practicly the double for me when I receive from US and when I send something to US....

Next time you're after Peaches & Cream, call "The Granny Square" in Newtown, NSW. They're a new store and I believe they stock it. :D Would take far less time ;)
