Gadding about (...more tour dates)

These photos are borrrowed from Bargain Box Fabrics in Mornington.  I swanned about the place a few weeks ago, bossing people about and stopping for autographs, and the gorgeous Ally snapped photos all day.  It made me feel quite the paparazzi-pursued celeb.
I'll be back at Bargain Box on 3rd May, teaching all the basics of bag-making on the newly revamped Petite bag.  I think the class is booked out but you can check with Bargain Box in case they have a waiting list.  You never know when someone might have to cancel their spot in a class.
This weekend, I'll be having fun with a group of pattern-free-trapese-top-making gals at Kimono House.  I'm really looking forward to this one.

I'm also looking forward to a newly-booked Shell Purse workshop at Kimono House on 11th August. This is a really satisfying little project, and will look amazing in gorgeous Kimono House fabrics.
And if you don't already have a signed copy of my book, I'll be doing a show-and-tell book-signing thing at Kimono House this Saturday after the class, beginning at 3.30pm.  My books will be available with a $5 discount on the day (....perhaps an opportunity to pick up a special birthday or Mother's Day present..?).  Drop in to the amazing Nicholas Building to say hello.
Other dates for classes over the next few months are -

Saturday 12th May - Customised Bag in a Day  - You SEW Girl studio, Northcote (Booked out - please email us to go on the waiting list)

Friday 25th May - Bag-making at Treehouse Textiles, Merricks.  Still places available (...and what a lovely Mother's Day gift a day out in this haven would be!)

Weekend 2nd-3rd June - Australasian Quilt Market, Sydney.  I'll be giving some early-morning show-and-tell talks there for wholesale customers.

Tuesday 5th June - Zippers for Bags - Peg's Pieces, Kirrawee (Sydney).

Wednesday 6th June - Pattern-free Trapese-line tops - Free Range Living, Kurnell (Sydney)

I'm still looking at the calendar with a view to scheduling a few more Saturdays in the studio before the end of the year.  I just have to get past a few Great Unknowns that could appear in the next few months (and believe me, I like this situation less than you do!).

If you miss out on a place on a Purse Frame, Customised Bag in a Day, Zippers for Bags or Choosing and Using Interfacings class, please email the office and ask to go on the waiting list.  That way, when we schedule another date, you'll be the first to know.
