The pretty stuff

I had a lovely time, playing with my new purse-in-development samples today.... A little celebration for finally (several days and toiles later) getting the subtleties of the pattern shaping right.

I played with themed styling ideas....
..detail shots......and super-macro settings....
It was SO MUCH prettier than the bigger picture.
Big girl mess (above). Small girl mess (below).

We must be related.

Ok, ok.... I'll get back to writing the instructions.....

Love the macro shot with the pearls. Very pretty!
Surely the mess is a sign of creative geniuses at work?

I’m still valiantly searching for my inner clean gene. The newbie is FABULOUS.

Not so much the mess. Too much of that at my place.

Oh I do love the idea of using beads to anchor the thread holding the purse together. It is so much prettier than the holes!

Love the peek at your new design. Especially made from different fabrics - really shows off the possibilities.

hee hee... the behind-the-scenes shots make me wonder if we could be related? ;o) I think your wee girl is well on her own way to being a talented designer (like her momma!)

Those purses look divine, and your mess looks tame compared to mine at the moment. My little one has taken up jewellery making I was in the middle of market stall sewing and she decided she was going to make earrings and wanted to try the whole thing. Usually I turn the loops so I gave her the plyers and off she went, then she wanted the wire cutters and I supervised that part which I was a bit scared about and she handled it all fine. Now she is in major construction.... think I have started a monster.
