Didn't we have a lovely time...?

What a grand day out the Northside Makers Market was today! A perfect blue-skied, breezeless day, a relaxed family atmosphere with food, coffee, music....

Gorgeous handmade things (these baby shoes by Polly Pratt) and more crafty bloggers than I have time to link to (!!). Friends old and new.

The wee one wasn't bored once.
Between cupcakes, babycinos, face-painting, balloons and about 3 hours at the kids' craft table (I'm actually not exaggerating here!).....there really wasn't time for boredom or digital photography.

A big congratulations to the hard-working organisers for putting on a great event and for getting the Northside Makers Collective off the ground. Hip Hip Hooray!

The next Northside Makers Market will be November 28th. Just in time for Christmas shopping.

Edited to add - to all those people either congratulating me or sorry that they missed my stand at the market, I have to qualify that I was simply a VISITOR to the market... not involved in the organisation and not actually exhibiting. I was just walking around eating cupcakes and chatting. I spent most of the day near the kids craft table (!!) and had such a lovely time I thought it was worth blogging.

It was a very nice market ... and what a gorgeous day for it too.

I am very impressed to hear about the 3 hours at the craft table. If only I could get my boys to do such things!

Lovely to see you yesterday.

That's great to hear... I can't wait to hear about the day from many more happy customers and stallholders.

Thanks for seeking me out Nikki! I'm so sorry I didn't have the presence to have a proper conversation with you. At one point yesterday I nicked off to answer someone's question and when I got back to my stall realised I'd been in the middle of a transaction with a customer! If I'd had hold of my senses I would have asked for insider tips on the mod bag pattern I picked up last weekend - I guess it'll have to wait for another time! Very glad you enjoyed the market.

I looked but didn't spot you as I rushed through on my way to something else. Hats off to all participants. So much hard work!

I would have loved to have got there as well Nikki but I knew that if I was to make it to your hat class on Sunday then I had best get a few things done at home on Saturday. Have spent years trying to be superwomen and have finally learnt that outfit doesn't fit & isn't me! [as it was I was late on Sunday]
I will not miss the next one. LOL

Congrats to the organisers.
It's great to hear a success story about an outlet for the handmades.
If I was closer - I'd be there for sure.

Hi Nikki,

Thanks so much for taking the photo of the booties. I`ll have to get a new camera ASAP.
