A 'Thank You' Purse

A lovely lady gave me a heap of fabric swatches from her suppliers in India. Loads of embroidered silks and fine cottons, lace and sheers. All purse-size pieces and too good to waste. I made this embroidered silk purse as a small token of my immense gratitude.

I can't wait to try out a few more bridal/evening fabrics in the purse frame patterns I already have, and am REALLY INSPIRED to make a few new purse shapes.... but there are patterns to finish (that have been promised in a giveaway). Oh... and Christmas presents to make. Silk purses, perhaps?

What a perfect project to showcase this gorgeous fabric, Nikki! Yes! These would be great Christmas presents. Who could resist such beauty? Please be sure to share photos if you do make more....

That looks gorgeous, Nikki! Definitely putting some of these on my to-do list (for the New Year though, there is no way I'll get any made before Christmas)! Thanks again for sharing some of the fabric.
